“Apple iPhone – Definitely Recommended”. MouthShut Review on iPhone 4

I have been using an iPhone 4 since a year and I am completely satisfied with it. I have the following points for all the iPhone buyer’s 4 or 4s (or 5 when it is released)

1. If you are new to Apple products, you would realize that there is a huge cost difference between Apple and other similar products. The usual reason from an Apple buff would be that, that’s the cost you pay for Quality. It is possibly also to make it a premium product. If you ask me, if its worth the money. Once you start using an Apple product, its very hard to move away to another product

2. In India, Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, etc provides “locked” iPhone with specific rentals. I would advice y ou NOT to go for these. With the locked phone, you will be stuck up with the operator throughout the lifetime of the product. Even if you travel abroad, you will not be able to use a different SIM. It is wiser, if you buy the iPhone which is “Factory Unlocked”, meaning you can use any SIM, anywhere. There is not much of a price difference between the locked and unlocked (Its a diff case in US, where the locked one is very cheap and you are tied to the operator for only 2 years). If you have contacts, try to get iPhone from HK, Canada or UK, where you would find considerable price difference with INR

3. In case you are buying from the grey market, ensure that the iPhone is genuine. Before the transaction, make the dealer connect the iPhone to iTunes (iTunes is a free download to connect iPhone to your computer). If iTunes recognizes your iPhone, it should be original, for additional check, you can click on the “Update Software”, which will contact Apple Server and authenticate the genuineness of the iPhone

4. Once you get familiar with the device, you will find several shortcuts and it will be second nature to you. Some of the glitches that you may face using iPhone are
A) Bluetooth compatibility – iPhone will only connect through bluetooth to other Apple devices. You cannot connect or transfer files through bluetooth to Windows or Android devices
B) Transferring files between computer and your phone is not as simple as other phones. You have to use iTunes or apps such as Dropbox
C) Flash files will not play – however now Adobe has abandoned Flash for mobile devices, so even other phones will not have this capability in future
D) Battery power would last for 1 to 1.5 days with decent usage of voice and data – that is anyways for most other smartphones too….

“Facebook opens human desires full of networks”. MouthShut review on “Social Network” movie

The social network is already a phenomenon so my review will be short & i am writing because I love David Fincher & i liked the flick too.The foundation of online phenomenon Facebook comes in for analysis in this semi biopic-based drama, which turns the site’s decisive years into a ethical story of gen x times. Computer-science student Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) is a detested outsider at Harvard in 2003, but finds a way of to enclose the university’s traditional privileged elite class by creating the networking technology that makes him one of the world’s youngest billionaires. In the journey, there’s friendship, disloyalty, tension & court case, both his on e-time best aide buddy Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield) & rivals the Winklevoss twins (Armie Hammer) sue for their piece of a huge large cake money. The amazing banter from screenwriter Aaron Sorkin & David Fincher’s strongly focused direction work in performance to help character clashes over computer geek’s greed, excavating deep to make clear the story’s essential tensions between greed & loyalty. It’s fascinating stuff, not least when Justin Timberlake showing off on as show off internet futurist Sean Napster Parker. Most important however, is how this brilliantly accumulated advisory tale gets directly to the heart of the human needs, greeds & failings foundation dizzying technological development, generates one of the truly major cinemas of gen x era. Fincher & Sorkin(screenplay) tears the story into three zones, bouncing back forth between the rising present & Zuckerberg’s future authentication. David again proves himself to be one of the true creative leading filmmakers in the world, one of the best story tellers. Dialogues are excellent witty hard hitting. As far performance goes Jesse steal the show with his powerful energy.

Users are fickle, Friendster has proved that. Even a few people leaving would reverberate through the entire userbase. The users are interconnected, that is the whole point. College kids are online because their friends are online, and if one domino goes, the other dominos go, don’t you get that? I am not going back to the Caribbean NIght at A-E-PI!
Many more makes it gripping story of youngest billionaire with outstanding acting ,direction,script adopted from book still tight as hell makes Social network worthy.But for me Fight club is David’s best work.

MouthShut Review on Samsung Galaxy Note

Hi folks, 

Thanks for making my previous Review, ’Review of the day’ on mouthshut. I am not a professional writer, so getting such recognition was a very big thing. 
The x6 was the best phone in its class when I wrote that review. 

Now we move on, and now i have my hands on the latest sensation… SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE.

I bought this phone a month ago for a price of around 33000. and what a ride it has been ever since. Yes! it is slightly bigger than the usual phones… but why should we crib… if u remember the days when mobiles were just introduced… they were as big, maybe even bigger and thicker, as some of the phones we have now. so i would not complain much… at 5+ inches, this phone fits in all my trouser pockets without any prolems… and at 178gms it really very light on the pocket. 

the phone has excellent looks. as a layman, i will not go into the technical details cos that is not what we look in a review right? i would talk about the things that me as a buyer would like to know… really… what do u do when u take the phone from ur friend to check it out? 
do u go into the settings and see the hardware details of the phone OR do u see… 

1. Camera: the note comes with an 8 mp camera with flash… and trust you me… it takes some amazing pics. I have used this phone to 2 tours (both to Gujarat) and use it for my running club meets and day to day clicks… and trust me… the clarity and features of the camera are FANTASTIC… the panorama pics are awesome. 

2. Function: this device supports all the features and applications that the Android Markey has to offer. I have so many functions on my phone now that sometimes it is difficult to locate a particular app… i play games on this device and the big screen makes it a different application alltogether. 

3. Battery: Yes the Galaxy S2 was a super flop on battery life (max 5 hours)… BUT… with 2600 maph battery… the Note works an entire day (the max i have done is leave my house at 5am and spend the whole morning clicking pics in Matheran and come back home at around 9pm to find the phone still having some life)… so all those guys complaining about the android phone batteries… RELAX!!!! 

4. Features: ever since a phone which has a button on the stylus… yeah… this phone has a freaking button on the stylus and its just not there for SHOW… it actually has a lot of use… for one… u can now get a screenshot of any screen… ANY SCREEN… all u have to do is keep the button pressed and tap the screen…. the stylus is also used to edit the pics and the edits go beyond ones imagination… i now actually write hand written msgs and send it people on whatsapp and other chatting interfaces… i gave my bald friend some hair… turned a rockstar into a bindi wearing bald gal and a whole lot of other things…. it is FUN i tell you… 

5. Size: YES! the phone is slightly bigger than the usual androids but… it makes it much easier to view webpages and also to type… the fingers glide on the screen with great ease… i travel a lot in the trains and bus and play games while i am travelling… people stare and ogle… its fun… 

wat else????? cant think of anything… ummmmmmm…. yeah the battery does not take too much time to charge… 

overall… FOLKS… it is a big phone BUT… its better to have one BIG phone rather than keeping a Diary, a calculator, a psp, a small mobile phone, a planner and a laptop… samjhe kya? 

so if have the desire to buy the complete package… u got it… THE SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE…

I Love Mouthshut.com and Mouthshut members

I have been a member of Mouthshut.com since long time now. I came to know about Mouthshut through Twitter and Facebook. I started following them in Twitter and also liked their fan page in Facebook. I have to say that the reviews posted by Mouthshut members in Mouthshut are genuine and unbiased and it has really helped me in taking right decisions whether I should purchase the product or not.

When I first visited Mouthshut site I could see many activities going around like reviews, diaries, some SMS getting posted. But later on I came to understand that these activities are been posted by genuine customers.

Reviews posted on Mouthshut.com by Mouthshut members indicates to the product or service owners that if they keep their mouth shut on their complaints and grievances then Mouthshut.com will open their mouth and get the things done!!

After few months I came to know that Mouthshut has its own Celebrities. I was amazed to see that atleast we can be celebrity on some site.

When my trusted circle got increased I was shocked to know that some members have a friendly meeting outside Mouthshut and also celebrate birthdays and other festivals. I haven’t heard this in any other consumer review portal website.

Mouthshut members try to encourage & help others by actively commenting on their Reviews, Diaries & Sms’s. Mouthshut has its own technical support and customer support team which helps their member whenever they face problems on website.

The CEO of Mouthshut.com Mr Faisal I Farooqui himself actively comments to some of the posts and actively leads from the front to solves some big issues.

Mouthshut has entered into Deal world with Dealface.com and I think Dealface would also be a great success as Mouthshut.com

At the end I can say that Mouthshut is one of the best Consumer Review Portal Website in India containing reviews of all categories and is a platform where consumer can raise his / her opinion for any products and services.

MouthShut Review on BlackBerry Curve 8520

Today, I read review about BlackBerry Curve 8520 on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

If you have never used a B’Berry and buying it using your own money (as opposed to being reimbursed by your company for buying one), this is the best model.

Also, most buyers will be considering between 8520 and other Nokia e-series phones (e-63, e-72 etc.). So I want to clarify a few aspects:
– Nokia phones (any model) use a Symbian OS that is more than a decade old. This is a very slow OS and has lot of problems. I was using an N-72 and it was painfully slow.
– The push mail that Nokia advertises isn’t exactly a ’push’ mail from a technological point of view (for the interested people, Nokia uses IMAP IDLE protocol which is a sophisticated ’pull’ mail that looks like a push email.

Anyway, at a price tag of INR 11,650/- this is the most powerful smartphone in the market. The push email is lightening fast, in fact I have almost given up accessing my emails on PC. The B’Berry OS (version 5) is light years ahead of Symbian platform. The new B’Berry Torch has OS version 6. I wonder how greatly efficient it is going to be. I have not used any Android yet, so I cannot compare B’Berry OS with it.

The best part about BlackBerry Curve 8520 is Features, Price.

MouthShut Review on Toyota Qualis

Today, I read review about Toyota Qualis on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

We are one of the first purchasers of Toyota Qualis in our city and we have a Diesel FS model. Everyone in our family loves this car. And accordingly; it has rendered its services over the last 10 or so years, without any breakdown or major problem and has been most reliable. So many times we have gone over long distances like 2000km in a week or 10 days time. The vehicle takes the load and strain with utmost ease and keeps us very comfortable inside.

Seats are generously spaced, road handling is excellent, suspension is strong and durable, Boot space (we have baby seats and not a regular 3rd row of seats) is also generous and we carry all our luggage in it. 10 years after purchase, recently we have made some additions like front bumper, roof-top carrier, and side-steps. Short-distance mileage is 10-11 kmpl and for long distance it is 11-12 kmpl, with single AC full on. No major work required in the engine so far. Engine is very smooth. As far as dealers are concerned, if you get the vehicle serviced by any non-Toyota representative, the dealers can detect it and they will flatly refuse to service it after that. They will always push for replacement of parts and for costlier alternatives rather than repairing. Sometimes when we have given the vehicle to the dealer for servicing, we have received our vehicle back after servicing (they claim) in the same condition as it was before, and not even the grease or grime was cleaned properly.
The best part about Toyota Qualis is Low maintenance, gud comfort, reliable.

MouthShut Review on Pizza Corner – Bangalore Restaurant

Today, I read review about Pizza Corner – Bangalore Restaurant on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

I am not a big fan of Pizzas, but have tried them occassionally. I have tried Pizza Hut, Dominos and Pizza Corner and have found Pizza Corner to be the best of the lot.

I stay in a place in the
outskirts of Bangalore near the Peenya Industrial Area. Surprisingly, Pizza Corner opened a branch in the industrial area. After seeing their ads, I decided to order a pizza just to try it out. For the IPL season, Pizza Corner has come out with an offer. If you order a large pizza, you get a portion each of Garlic bread, Potato wedges and Pineapple banana fudge free. Order validity is during IPL time 3-10:30pm.

So, tried it out – called up and placed the order, they promised to bring within 35 minutes and took my cell number. I was waiting for the call of their delivery person, as my house is located slightly interior. But surprisingly, within 35 minutes, he was there at my house, having searched the address. Prompt delivery, well packed.

The best part about Pizza Corner – Bangalore Restaurant is Good service, decent taste.
